A Little of Everything

The year is slowly coming to a close and my high school artists have been busy finishing the many projects required of them. Please take a peek at some of their wonderful creations!

The Red Hat Project

Where is the Red Hat? On a horse? On the wall? In a window?  My students created a painting where their emphasis was a red hat. They placed their chapeau in various environments and in many different positions.

Sculptures with a Purpose.....Maybe

Can it hold something? Stand on its own? Do something special? Does it look realistic?  These were all characteristics that would describe the three dimentional art that was created by the artists in my class.  Tin foil, toothpicks, clay, newspaper, tape....anything could be used to achieve the desired effect.  Take a peak at their creations!

Mini Masterpieces

What problems did these famous artists have while painting their masterpieces.  Students in my high school class wanted to find out!  They chose a famous artist and copied their artwork....on a 3 inch by 3 inch canvas.  Hmmm...they added a whole new dimension to the painting. Can you name the artists?

Self Portraits of the MInd

Dreams, prose, poetry.......all are part of the soul of the artist and artwork.  The artists in ART 1 created artworks which pulled together their inner thoughts and projected the image of their outward selves.
